I've decided to stick with trusty old Gwinne as a pseudonym, a name that has followed me across various internet groups and for which very few people know my "real" identity. This is a space I'd like to use mostly as a place wherein I can reflect--publicly--on the relationship between mothering and academe. The kid shall heretofore be referred to as Little Gwinne (or LG) because now, at age 4, she looks and acts like a Mini Me. I ask that if you do know me in "real life" that you respect the pseudonymous nature of the blog.
For now, I need to get to work--editing an essay to be sent out by the end of the day--though LG is convinced that all I do is go to yoga, watch TV, and talk on the phone at my campus office.
