So the problem with writing a book about one's sordid story with infertility and pregnancy loss?
You have to reread the thing in order to edit it.
And it hurts. Even eleven years later. It really hurts.

ReplyDeleteHugs to you ...
ReplyDeleteI can only imagine having to revisit those places. I wish you clear insight and swift edits. Revision and reflection are painful without the emotional attachment to the subject.
ReplyDeleteHi Gwinne - I have been waiting for you to post something so I could comment (wasn't sure if you would see a comment on an old post). If you've noticed someone working their way through your entire archive lately, that was me! Thank you so so so much for your blog. I've just started doing fertility tx to become a SMC. I've wanted this since I was in my late 20s and got divorced. I'm now finally (5 years later) in a place with my career (on the t-t) and finances that I can do it, and I've just started treatment and IUIs. Your blog has been so helpful. I haven't really gotten into the AIL blogs, but yours really resonates with me because you're also in a t-t position and about the same age as me when you started. So I wanted to say thanks, reading your story has been so helpful. A friend sent me a link to the article of yours you posted in your last post and I recognized you from your blog. I can't wait to read your book.
ReplyDeletePscygirl, thanks! I think more than one person is trolling the archives, actually. Glad it's helpful. Feel free to email me at gwinne at yahoo if you want to chat.
