I woke up about an hour ago for no apparent reason.
It just became apparent.
There's blood all over my t-shirt and bed (which really sucks, because I just changed my sheets, which requires LG these days). Now, I know I had a bad injection tonight, and I also remember walking around with tiny specks of blood on my clothes during late pregnancy with LG, but, ummm, this strikes me as not good.
I think maybe I need to call the hematologist tomorrow. Or maybe I'll see what happens if I make use of that neato invention called a bandaid. Grrrr.

ReplyDeletesorry to hear this.
Thanks, Mo. The nurse at the hematologist's office thought it was a fluke thing (I think probably the heparin pooled just under my skin instead of dispersing) as none of my other injection sites are oozy. But I do need to do some laundry....
ReplyDeleteI hope you are ok -- I would have been terrified. Plus, I hate the sight of blood.
ReplyDeleteSending zen ... I hope everything is OK.
ReplyDeleteThanks, y'all.
ReplyDeleteSo I bled on my sheets, my mattress pad, the first t-shirt I slept in, the second t-shirt I slept in, the first pair of pants I wore yesterday, the first shirt I wore yesterday, the second shirt I wore yesterday. I thought maybe I should go to the ER and have my clotting times tested, despite the nurse's lack of concern. Then I decided not to. I slept with a big fat gauze pad taped to that injection site...and woke up to NOTHING. Not bleeding from any orifices or any of my other injection sites.
So I think I'm okay :)
Maybe I'll post a picture of my belly. It ain't pretty.
