Things That Are a Colossal Waste of My Time

1. Sitting in on a graduate student's class that is, I kid you not, 100% student presentations.
2. Judging an undergraduate research forum in which half the presenters don't show up.
3. Going through files of colleagues who fail to organize or remove out of date material.

See, I don't mind these various responsibilities.  And in theory they are enjoyable parts of my job.  But when it means leaving my 5-month-old with a babysitter?  I'm annoyed, to say the least.
