Pregnancy and/in Academe

I'm 6-hours post-HCG shot and feeling the haze I only associate with early pregnancy. I'm trying to write a letter of recommendation for a student, and I am struggling for the words, like driving down unfamiliar roads in a fog. I'm having a taste of what my life will be like next semester, assuming this cycle works. One can hope.
