I have this thing for the lentil and rice soup they make at a local restaurant. Under the influence of progesterone, I'll eat it several times per week. Well, I found this recipe:

modified it a little bit (less onion, more rice, skipped the paprika) and *wow* it's virtually identical to the restaurant version. Even LG--who has eaten alphabet soup almost nightly for months--said it was great. I have a feeling it will become one of our staples.
alphabet soup.. So there is such a thing! Only the other day I asked my mother about it (what kind of soup was it. I remember we loved it as kids, but can't remember the flavour..). Unforunatly she had no recall of such a soup..
ReplyDeleteIn our house, anyway, alphabet soup is a simple mix of broth, frozen mixed veggies, alphabet letter pasta, and spices. If we have ground turkey, I add that as well.
ReplyDeletethanks :-)
