I've been panicked this weekend that I'd surge early (again). I'm feeling all estrogen-y and wound up. When I emailed her, WFRE was surprised and a bit concerned about the early surge (she didn't say this outright, but she seemed to indicate peri-menopause as a possible factor). But it's cd 9--last clomid dose in half an hour--and NO SURGE. I go in for a follicle study at 9:00 and (hopefully) will trigger tonight for Wed. morning IUI. That Ovidrel has been waiting so patiently in my fridge...
Updated to add: Mature follicle at 20 mm [on the right!!!!], lining over 1 cm (is it possible it was actually 1.3?), an almost-surge on the OPK. Just triggered for IUI tomorrow afternoon. Timing couldn't be much better (I'd be scared to wait until Wed am).
Sending good thoughts your way!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Deb!
ReplyDeleteHope it all works out! I understand little of this lingo (and must confess, the update reminded me of a game of Battleship for some reason) ... but if the timing is right, hooray!
ReplyDeleteBattleship, eh? I never played that game growing up. But, yeah, timing is everything when doing IUI--there's basically an 8-12 hour window either side of ovulation--and last cycle was cancelled because we (meaning my doctor) missed it completely. So I'm pretty psyched about this...and the potential for a positive pregnancy test for Hanukkah!
