The End Is Near

Well, the end of this insane period of grading and overwork, anyway. Accomplished so far this week:
  • LG's birthday party
  • Grading papers for Class #2
  • Midterm conferences with all students in Class #1
  • Commenting on writing for Class #1
  • Reading 130+ contest entries (and scoring them)
  • Annual review materials submitted
  • Extra committee work

Still to come prior to spring break:

  • Finish reading text for Class #2
  • Grading exams for Class #2
  • More commenting on writing for Class #1
  • Usual compiling of handouts for Class #1
  • Prep lecture/discussion questions for Class #2 (x 2)
  • Choosing and uploading images for Class #2
  • RETURN THAT DAMN R&R (in all honesty, this might happen over spring break)
  • Get at least one other manuscript in the mail
  • The All Day Committee Extravaganza
  • Various and sundry meetings about, and therefore prior to, TADCE
  • Calling a plumber to deal with leak (because carrying buckets of water from the kitchen to the basement sink is rapidly losing its appeal)

I think if I get through the next week, the semester's down hill from there. Which is good, as I expect to start a ttc cycle in 1.5-2 weeks. Speaking of which...must hunt down injectable drugs!

Edited to add (at 3:29 pm): Well, I have finished grading about 1/2 the exam questions and made handouts (albeit digital versions) for Class #1. Tonight will involve reading for Class #2 and commenting on some student writing for Class #1. The rest of it will get dealt with sometime. Now it is off to take LG to the doctor.
