Progesterone Is Evil

Thanks to the Monster Clomid Cyst from Hell I have been able to learn a few things:

(1) I get headaches from massive amounts of estrogen (duh, that's why I went off the pill!) but it is also great for my skin

(2) I get drowsy, dizzy, and nauseous from massive amounts of progesterone. For the first time ever I am on oral Prometrium with *no* possibility of being pregnant. Feels like it does most ttc cycles I've done, but nothing like a "normal" non-ttc cycle. So these "symptoms" that I've had when ttc (and not pregnant) are not, in fact, in my head, but an actual physiological response not to hcg but progesterone. Good to know.

Right now I'm fighting an uphill battle to stay awake. And, so, an open letter to the student whose dissertation I read this afternoon:

I wasn't drunk when I read your chapter, just really really hormonal. I'd be happy to reread when I'm feeling human again.
