Done!

Grades are submitted!  Last letter of rec written!  (And that one was especially nice since it's for a former student, one of those absolutely amazing ones, who is applying to my grad alma matter, to do the exact same degree combo.)

Still a lot of miscellaneous details to attend to (something like 20 flagged-for-follow-up messages).  And a trip to Disney to plan.  And my house is in a serious need of a deep clean.

But tomorrow I'm having a massage (although, sadly, the massage therapist I usually see quit, so I need to track her down) and have lunch plans with my ladies.  I have a novel to read and Homeland DVDs to watch, if I don't decide to do a Gilmore Girls marathon.  And for whatever reason, we go back to work a week later than we have in a while, which means I have A WHOLE WEEK when the kids are at school and I am not.  And I've got a course release.  Amen.

So yay.  Let winter break (sort of) begin.

  1. Such a good feeling, I'll bet! (Not being in a profession that affords me a winter break, I can only imagine.)

    Enjoy!

  2. Yup, winter break is definitely one of the perks. Not having sick days, not so much!

  3. Hooray! Enjoy, relax, SLEEP. Oh Gilmore Girls! I have so many questions & thoughts & FEELINGS on this show now, and I'm only halfway through Season 2. Unfortunately my husband is not a good person to talk to about this so I may have to write a blog post.
