TV is my vice.
While I still watch much less than the average American, and I have gone through periods (comps!) in which I watched absolutely nothing, it's been pretty much a night-time staple since my pregnancy with Tiny Boy.
I'm looking for recs. I don't watch commercial television. (What little I do, I stream. Right now that's limited to The Good Wife.) I have access to neflix and amazon prime video. While I like dark dramas I can't watch them before bed, which is when I watch TV. I just finished Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt and Mozart in the Jungle, loved them both. What are other things I've overlooked?
thanks!

The BBC Poirot series!
ReplyDeleteI am rewatching Numbers on Netflix. Also The West Wing.
ReplyDeleteI watch a LOT of dark dramas; I'm sure our recent breaking bad watching is contributing to my worsening insomnia, it is INTENSE. I'm sure you've already seen it, but the West Wing is on Netflix. Mad Men is sort of dark, but not violent/graphic. Master of None is pretty good, parks and rec if you haven't seen it. Everything else I can think of that's awesome is pretty dark (house of cards, blacklist, orange is the new black).
ReplyDeleteI love TV, but I also watch way less than the American average (about 5-6 hours a week)
Nurse Jackie. Just a half hour.
ReplyDeleteThanks, all. I should say that 30 min is what I'm looking for, or it gets too late. Haven't seen Master of None...on my list. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI watched the first couple seasons of Mad Men and then got bored. Does it get better?
I do like Nurse Jackie. And OINTB. West Wing was never on my watch list...maybe it should be!
You like fast, witty dialogue? (I know you do, you're a Gilmore girls fan) you will love the West Wing. It is feel-good, too, and quite tame (it was on NBC or ABC)--you could watch it with your daughter.
ReplyDeleteGood to know--thanks, Ana. (LG and I are watching season 5 of GG right now. Oh Rory and Dean redux...ugh!)
