A Day When All The Roles Converge

  • I took LG for her flu shot this morning. She did not even wince! (Last time she got a shot, she needed to be restrained, and then got a large welt at the injection site that required days of Benadryl to clear up.)
  • I spent the remainder of the morning figuring out which poems to read at my reading tonight. And then reading them aloud to time (which I will not be doing again, as I would rather not lose my voice before the actual reading).
  • On the agenda for the afternoon: getting blood drawn, picking up a few groceries, commenting on student poems (I have not yet determined the order for these activities; lunch must come first). All this requires staying awake, which is hard to do under the influence of progesterone, even at half my usual dose.

Leftovers or take-out for lunch?
