Yes, I am a freak

Way back in 2001 I briefly flirted with taking my BBTs. It didn't work, largely because of insomnia. Then, in the few cycles before I conceived LG, I became aware that I had a low grade fever for the entirety of my 2ww (we're talking 99.5+). My RE ran some tests (white cell count, I think) but nothing came of it.

This is to say that while I am in no way systematically charting my temp, I am aware of fluctuations in my body temperature. And I can systematically count on progesterone raising my body temp, though nothing like what it was back in the day. The past few days it's been 98.6 or so (not first thing in the morning, just generally throughout the day), which is quite high for me.

Today I'm sick--pregnant or not, I'm hacking and sneezing and sniffling and it just isn't fun--and realized that I was *freezing* to the point that my hands were turning blue. I took my temperature, assuming that I have chills because I have a fever. Actually, no. Actually, my temp was 96.9 (that is not a typo).

Is this some wacky side effect of Estrace? Is this an "implantation dip"? Am I dying of some kind of thyroid disease? Am I crazy enough to call my RE? (no)

Well, blog friends, I'm warming up again (all that aeorobic activity of typing!) and will go take my temp again and join LG for the remainder of "pajama day."
