Had an ultrasound. Baby measuring spot on, heart rate good, sac (once I fucking convinced her to measure it!) running 9 days small (but I know she measured the two LARGEST dimensions, so I trust the hospital measurement more).
Bought a onesie (I had an hour and a half to kill). Says "little" with a picture of a peanut under it. How's that for $5 worth of hope?
Met the OB. In another life, I would have LOVED LOVED LOVED this doctor. But I think I might need to see a perinatologist for reassurance on a semi-regular basis. More on that tomorrow.
Got a kid to put to bed. TV to watch. I'm exhausted, people, and feeling just a bit like a normal pregnant woman today.
This seems like very encouraging news! It must look normal/good if she didn't want to measure it, right? And I'm thinking the sac just might be starting the catch up process. . . go, go, go little sac, grow, grow, grow, little peanut! That's my mantra/cheer I'm sending out to you. And yes, put your feet up, mama!
ReplyDeleteNo...she just doesn't ordinarily measure the sac after viability. Which means in cases like mine, she wouldn't catch it. Depending on the angle (like the one she got today) it doesn't look bad; the other dimension has been consistently the smallest...
ReplyDeleteThanks for the good thoughts!
Been drumming my fingers today waiting on the post! You are still preggers and there is a peanut beating away in there. Awesome. Awesome. Awesome! And I'm thinking you must be zeroing in on the last of your papers to grade. I've got 9 left. And a plagiarism situation. UGH. But summer is fasting approaching! And you can get on with being a "normal" pregnant woman. :)
ReplyDeleteUgh...plagiarism sucks beyond words. And I resent every second involved in "catching" the plagiarist.
ReplyDeleteI've got 16 portfolios and 3 honors theses left to go. Looking like Monday...
I'm so pleased to hear that you keep getting more positive information and that you are beginning to feel like that (potentially mythical?) normal pregnant lady, and not just because you are exhausted.
ReplyDeleteI'm so so excited for this pregnancy and for you!
ps -- we have a similar onesie!
