I hate shopping.
I don't dislike getting new things, but the act of going into stores and looking around and waiting in lines, often with children on weekends, is crazy-making.
So I do everything I can online. Today I happily opened a box from Ama.zon which contained a book of poems I've been told I have to read, a computer glove thing because my hand/arm/shoulder is absolutely killing me from typing and writing, and a child appropriate melatonin supplement (next stop, a sleep study). I also bought two pair of boots this week--both of which I sent back--because my every day winter boots are cracked through the sole, which leads to cold wet feet more often than not. Still searching.
And now it is quiet in the boy's room, so I'll see what LG is up to. I know I keep saying it, but it feels important to reiterate: life on the other side of tenure and infertility is a pretty damn good thing.

I hate shopping, too. I will do as much as possible online. I would much rather buy online, try it out, then have to return it, than go to the store. No store has my size anyway, everything is always too short.
