RBOC February Edition

• Tiny Boy had a cough and sniffles (oddly, in that order) and has been keeping me up in that sick baby way of keeping me up, as opposed to the ordinary/ornery toddler way of keeping me up.  Last night he made it until 3:00 before coming into bed with me, but he woke again around 4:00 so that sucked.
• He shared his sniffles with me, and even after an antihistamine and decongestant I'm still wiping my nose every 20 seconds.  It came on fast.  This morning I was fine.
• Both kids had the FRIDAY MELTDOWN.
• This is the semester I have a course release for my admin work and let me tell you it makes all the difference.  I am actually READING AND THINKING and writing new things.
• While the colleagues in my immediate program are batshit crazy or unreliable--yes, all of them--I've had two occasions this week to meet with larger groups of folks across campus and that is very good indeed.
• As soon as LG goes to bed (momentarily) I'm going to watch something mindless on TV, take Lunesta, and sleep.
