Status report on my ovaries: one follicle at 14 mm, one at 16 mm and my lining (miraculously) is up to 1 cm (and some). Now, at WFFC (Wonderful Former Fertility Clinic), I'm sure I would have been instructed to do a trigger shot on Wed (WFRE liked to trigger with the lead follicle at 20 mm). In some cases this plan worked, in other cases I ended up surging naturally before the trigger shot (the past few wonky cycles excepting, I tend to surge with follicles at 18.5 mm, including the time I conceived LG). Dr. Gorgeous, on the other hand, is having me trigger tomorrow for IUI on Thurs, which I like. Means less need to compulsively pee on sticks to monitor my LH level.
The sonogram tech said something interesting to me. It was something like, "Wow, you're actually having a normal cycle." It's true; it's pretty much a textbook cycle, with two mature follicles and trigger shot on cd 13 for IUI on cd 15, my lining and cervical fluid doing all the right things. And my thought was this cycle is SO far from normal for me I don't even recognize what's happening in my body (I don't think I ever had an IUI this late, even when I was doing treatment for Baby #1). But I guess that's why I'm a fertility patient.
To the universe, if you are listening: Please let this one work!
Crossing my fingers and toes!!! Good luck!
