Salvageable?

Here are the facts:

1. Ovulation is impending. I surged either yesterday or today (OPK is darker today).

2. I probably need an IUI tonight or tomorrow morning, but I'm not 100% on that.

3. Although it is early in my cycle, my lining is excellent, so my E2 must be up.

4. I am out of town, until 3:30ish this afternoon.

5. Dr. Gorgeous's office is closed on Sundays (unless it happens to be IVF week, which I doubt).

6. I cannot/will not cancel either of my classes tomorrow. One didn't meet last week, due to Kid Crisis. The other is being observed tomorrow for my tenure file.

7. That means if Dr. Gorgeous thinks it's a good idea, I could potentially bail on office hrs and do that 1:00 there and back IUI between classes. Which would suck.

8. Or I say this is a lost cause and start luteal estrace/prometrium to set up a next cycle.

Purely rhetorical:

Guess who's getting paged in about an hour?

Why the fuck can't anything go according to plan?

Update at 5:30: Turns out it is IVF week after all, which made it much less awkward to be paging Dr. Gorgeous on a Sunday morning. Anyway, based on Friday's ultrasound, she thinks tomorrow is quite reasonable. So I'm booked for IUI #Gazillion tomorrow at 1:00. Between my classes. Have I told you I feel like I'm going to throw up?

  1. And the impending holiday season doesn't help with the unpredictable timing problem either... I'm so sorry. It's the constant planning and re-planning and adjusting that is extremely exhausting and frustrating.
