I cracked out the watercolors tonight, for the first time in I can't remember how long. I painted a bunch of abstract things that resemble angry vaginas. Think Georgia O'Keeffe meets Frida Kahlo.
I'm not sure it was exactly therapeutic, as it made me cry. Or maybe that's a good thing. My therapist told me something like she didn't want to mess with my standard way of dealing with grief (I guess it seems to be working?).
It's going to be a LONG two months.
I love that you did art to express what is inside you. Crying for me is usually a good thing, releasing tension and pressure. Seems to me like you have grief about moving to DE, which makes sense to me. . .but I'm really sorry it hurts/sucks so bad. You're being brave and moving forward, but can be emotionally hard. Sending caring thoughts, Kristina
