You're kidding, right?

So I *finally* talked to my least favorite nurse at Dr. Gorgeous's office yesterday who, thankfully, talked me down off a ledge and answered most of my questions. She said she'd give the coordinator a call to try to get the donor on the schedule because the goal is to keep this process as stress-free as possible for you.

Yeah, that's really fucking funny. How about you return phone calls before 6:00 pm? That might help.

Trying to decide if I should go in for monitoring tomorrow (cd 8). My appointment isn't scheduled until Tuesday, because that's when it's convenient for me, but given my body's radical unpredictability and sudden, ahem, estrogeny feeling I've got going (and the fact that I took 2 days worth of Femara and the ~75 units left in my Follistim pen) who the hell knows what's going on in there. If I go tomorrow and I'm not ready to trigger, she'll drag my ass back on Monday, which is what I was trying to avoid. So maybe I'll just pee on the sticks and see what happens.

Oh, yeah, I'm relaxed.

And on that note, I'm going to yoga and then heading to work.

Update at 12:20:
Finally talked to DCL. I'm putting $4800 down on the cycle and she'll collect the rest if I am indeed not pregnant. I'm signing a contract without the lawyer (while I have promised to meet with one as soon as humanly possible). In the meantime, the donor's info is being sent to Dr. Gorgeous so she can get on the pill.

I'm not exactly calm, but this is certainly a step in the right direction. Sigh.

Update at 6:24: Well, I was calm. Talked to DCL. Made a monitoring app't. Ordered some drugs. Crossed things off my list. Then I talked to my favorite nurse. Here's a little logic problem for you:

(1) Dr. Gorgeous wants to see the donor ASAP and get her on the pill;
(2) The donor cannot be scheduled until I sign a contract;
(3) I cannot sign a contract until Dr. Gorgeous okays the donor based on previous cycles;
(4) Dr. Gorgeous still has not reviewed her previous cycles but they are in her urgent pile for Monday.

ARGH!

  1. Dont freak it. I think the urgency is standard for the course. I suspected it but seeing you in the EXACT situation we were in - they must be used to it.

    In fact, off the record, our donor started BCP prior to completing all of our contracts.
