I Am a Rockstar

A couple weeks ago Maddy told me to bolster myself up by saying "I am a rockstar." My therapist, likewise, keeps reiterating something to the effect of I am a confident, capable woman, and I will get through this. So I'm saying it now: I am a fucking rockstar. So far today I have done the following:

• completed my annual review materials, other than assembling them, which actually requires fetching (the two boxes of) my tenure file from the dept office manager
• read and carefully edited the currently 15 page (single spaced) TOC Document from Hell
• read ~70 pages in the novel I'm teaching beginning Wed
• completed and printed letters of rec for two students
• emailed my chair and TOC about various matters
• organized my desk
• washed four loads of laundry
• supervised my kid's playdate, including watching their Live Performance of Annie
• played multiple rounds of Trouble with the kid
• had a dance party in the kitchen with the kid
• cooked dinner, with leftovers for the week
• straightened up the living room, which was kid's job [her stuff], but she had a complete meltdown
• shoveled ~6 inches of very heavy snow off the driveway and sidewalks

Still need to prep for class tomorrow, fold some of the laundry, put the kid to bed and, oh yes, start estrogen. I am a rockstar. (You know, I almost believed that.)
