Things learned at my appointment today:
1. The new person at the front desk is a moron. She didn't schedule me last week at all and didn't reschedule me for today at the right time. The result was, wonderfully enough, not waiting an hour to see Dr. Gorgeous but getting squeezed in immediately.
2. My blood pressure is still crazy high.
3. The sac is still small (she didn't say by how much), but Peanut is measuring 7w2d exactly, with a heart rate of 121.
4. Dr. Gorgeous found the Twin Who Wreaked All Kinds of Havoc. There is unquestionably a tiny sac right next to Peanut's, which made it difficult to see. As she said, one is the right number. I'm assuming it's done causing trouble. But I've also learned not to assume anything.
5. 10% chance of miscarriage at this point. I'm trying to see that as a 90% chance of having an actual baby. That's 100% fucking difficult.
6. OB app't next week, then another u/s with Dr. Gorgeous at 9w2d and then if things look good, I'm done with that drive, hopefully for the rest of my life.
Wow. I might actually have a baby come November.
I'm counting this as 90% wonderful and 10% okay, so we'll go with 100% good. :)
ReplyDeleteBig hugs
Yay! You are good and truly preggers. I was waiting for this post today and am excited and relieved for you. I'm also glad Dr G found the twin sac as it helps explain the wacky betas.
ReplyDeleteWHEW!!! Such a relief - and so glad Peanut's measuring right on target. Very very very very happy for you, and here's hoping that the rest of this pregnancy is carefree and easy, eh?
ReplyDeleteYes, yes, yes... great news! Now exhale, put your feet up and take a nap!
ReplyDeleteYay!!! Your BP will drop because preganancy increases blood volume. Hang in there.. sleeping also decreases BP.
ReplyDeleteOhI am SO happy for you. This is really wonderful news and I hope it brings you some relief and some well deserved joy.
ReplyDeleteAwesome! November babies rock! Of course, I may be biased on that. :-)
ReplyDeleteI have to say it:
ReplyDeleteYou sound really good!
Right back atcha, sister!
:-)
Love,
Maddy
Big sigh of relief
ReplyDeleteGreat news! Interesting she found the "TWWAKH" - nice to have confirmation of what happened. Here's to 90%!
ReplyDeleteThanks, everyone!
ReplyDeleteBaby Chase, not sure about the blood pressure thing. Mine is usually very low (like, 100/60), and it's running high, probably as a result of anxiety. And I stumbled across some weird study that says women who've done DE are at much greater risk of pregnancy induced hypertension. I suspect this is something to be watched closely, as my BP with LG started low and ended up very high at the end...
Oh, and Dora, as a November baby myself, I have to agree!!
ReplyDeleteBest post I've read all day! Rock on! :) So happy for you.
ReplyDeleteOh goodness! Sorry to be late to the party but Congrats!!! YAY! I am just starting to get caught up on blog reading and am happy dancing for you!!
