The Inverse Proportion of Teaching Evaluations

Because I need to finalize my annual review materials I (quickly) scanned two semester's worth of teaching evaluations before cramming them into manila folders.  These three sets of evaluations were from last spring (DE drama + threatened miscarriage drama + tenure drama) and this summer (second trimester drama).  These were classes that I will admit to putting very little effort into, in terms of class prep.  But according to my students these were some of the best classes I've taught.  Ever.  One of the only suggestions that came out of my senior seminar last spring:  hold class at a bar.  Yeah.
