The nice thing about this bleeding episode (umm, yeah, never thought I'd begin a sentence like that) is that it's not just the loss of a pregnancy but also potentially the beginning of one. With my first miscarriage, it was a complicated affair that required 3 cycles off. That might have been the worst part of it, the waiting, the lack of hope and possibility.
So I started bleeding on Friday, expecting the worst period of my life, and I have to say it hasn't happened (yet?). I've had some unpleasant hours, to be sure, but mostly I've been able to focus on what might happen next, and not what this bleeding means. I'm back on my diet, I'm taking my vitamins, and my ovaries, on Femara, are all a-tingle. Ultrasound on Friday and IUI, I assume, sometime in the next 12 days.

And now, I have a fridge full of veggies that need to be cooked.

Updated at 9:52 pm: I'm not really as okay with things as the above would have you (or me) believe. But I'm better at planning than moping. What I keep telling myself is that this cycle has as much chance of success as the last one. Still, I'm gearing myself up for the very real possibility of IVF later this summer. I never really thought it would come to this. Never really thought I'd end up with an RPL diagnosis either. Going to take Femara and more Anaprox and go to bed. The estrogen/anti-estrogen swing isn't very much fun, and that's putting it mildly.
sending warm thoughts!
