Yes, folks, for the first time since 2005 I have a primary care provider. To be fair, the only reason I saw the PCP was to get a referral to the hematologist that my ob/gyn is mandating that I see. Thus began the whole why are you on Lovenox conversation. Again.
All in all, it was painless. And I have to say it's very nice to be able to just go to a doctor and not have it be a huge emotional production, the way it is at the the RE or OB. To be seen as a normal, healthy patient, not a major list of medical problems.
But apparently their records are hooked up with Dr. Evil's (which isn't surprising, actually, as it's all part of the university health system), so the list of medications they had for me dated to 2008. Clomid anyone? Let me tell you it was very nice to cross that shit off the list, along with multiple forms of progesterone and Ovidrel.
For less than an hour of my time, I have a referral and a slip for normal grown-up bloodwork (liver function, CBC, cholesterol, etc) as opposed to hormone levels. I think my veins just might be okay.
