Water

When I was pregnant with LG, I could only drink bottled water.  Even filtered tap water tasted to me like chemicals.

I don't have that problem this time around (different pregnancy?  different water source?) but I have to say I'm starting to hate water.  I'm drinking about 100 ounces per day, on top of an occasional glass of juice, herbal tea, or decaf.  Perhaps hate is too strong a word; I'm bored, folks.  Ideas?

  1. Coconut water totally saved me last year. Not milk, but water. It's only mildly sweet, has nice pulpy bits in it, and really kept my stomach settled, even when I was dealing with nasty heartburn. Caribbean swear by it for pregnant ladies but all I can say is that it was delish...

  2. Funny -- I also hated water, or maybe I hated the metal bottle I usually use. But then I got one of those little lime-shaped bottles of organic lime juice and started using a glass and putting a squirt in, and I was able to keep up with my gallon a day habit.

  3. Ha! Sprogblogger beat me to it. I didn't have a water aversion whilst pregnant, but I've been icked by the water at our summer place this month. So I bought LaCroix Coconut water yesterday at Target. I don't really like coconut (the texture is the problem for me), but I do like coconut flavor (like coconut milk in rice/drinks). This stuff is awesome! It's not too fizzy, either. Very light flavor, just enough to change things up.

  4. Add sliced lemons, cucumbers, and strawberries to a pitcher. Very tasty.

  5. You know...some holistic magazine I was looking at yesterday said that coconut water is basically a natural form of gatorade.

Thanks for the suggestions! Keep them coming!
