You know what's moderately irritating? That the academic journal that has had my "final" copy of this essay for two years finally sent me their copy-edited version and would like it returned within two weeks.
The good thing is that the work they want me to do on it is so minimal that their deadline is not actually a problem. And unlike the majority of the editors I've worked with, they are not being assholes.
And the better thing is that I can actually say I published something in 2011, because it's been a very very sad year on my CV.
