Nesting (31w1d)

I think I am nesting, a week earlier than my self-imposed time frame.

My mom was here this weekend, so we did the Great Dresser Swap of 2011, which entailed emptying out two dressers and LG's closet, sorting various kid/baby stuff, physically moving the two dressers (so LG no longer has an infant dresser/changer), and then putting everything away in their respective new locations.  What I discovered in this process is that other than a few "sleep sacks," this boy should need nothing--at least in the clothing department--until he's about 6 months old.  And apparently I bought and was given a lot of duckie stuff.

Then today, instead of doing actual work since I was operating on about 4 hrs of sleep, I ended up buying LG the long anticipated bean bag chair (she's soon to lose the rocker/glider to her baby brother) and a bedside table.  We may or may not (let's get real, probably not) paint her room so it looks less like a nursery and more like a big kid space.  Of course, she'd like BLACK walls, so until she's ready to agree to purple or blue or something somewhat inviting, I'm not purchasing paint.

I'm exhausted.  And having a lot of contractions.  Almost enough to call my OB.

But I think I'm going to go slice vegetables and figure out something to feed LG before I give Yoga for Pregnant People one last go.  I think I will conveniently need to use the bathroom during "sharing time" or perhaps I'll just scare the shit out of the rest of them with the whole High Risk High Anxiety truth.

31 weeks.  How did that happen?

  1. Your post made me smile, ie black walls and "sharing circle." 31 weeks = Amazing! Sending good thoughts.

  2. Your YFPP class is just wacky. I went both times, and I was never made to participate in a sharing circle (bleh!).

  3. Yeah...it's weird. I think, though, the weirdness has to do with the students and not the instructor's intent, which seems to be a basic way to check in and see what she should focus on in class (hip openers, etc).

But let's just say I think I scared the fertiles last night...
