Once a Fertility Patient, Always...

(otherwise titled "My Perversity")

At my ob/gyn's office yesterday, I was given a two-page printout of my medical history to review.  In my spare time in the waiting room, I copied down my diagnoses.  I mean, if you are a writerly type, what else do you do with that information besides copy it down?  It includes the following (none of which should be surprising if you've been around here for a while):

780.52 Insomnia
V223.82 Supervision of high-risk pregnancy with elderly multigravida
649.33 Coagulation defects complicating pregnancy
659.73 Abnormality in fetal heart rate or rhythm
656.53 Poor fetal growth
V23.85 Pregnancy resulting from assisted reproductive technology
656.93 Other known or suspected fetal or placental problems affecting management of mother
661.43 Hypertonic, incoordinate, or prolonged uterine contractions, antepartum condition or complication

(I will have you note, nowhere did it say "patient is bat shit crazy and should be on anti-anxiety medication")

All that and a breast exam.  Yay rah.
