The Good and the Bad

• I believe that I have finished making all substantive changes to the essay due next week. Now I just need to convert from MLA to Chicago style, which will be annoying but will not involve much brain power.
• I did not get a grant that I wanted to use to finance maternity leave (coupled with what I have from FMLA). That means after this cycle, ttc efforts will be on hold until at least late March, so I could shoot for taking leave spring 2010.
• I seem to be responding favorably to Clomid. Saying any more than that would be TMI, even for me.
• LG and I have many choices for free weekend activities on campus and in town. That's always fun! We also need to bake cupcakes, since her school stash is out (LG has food allergies and keeps "safe" treats at school, for the annoying occasions when kids bring treats for birthdays unannounced).
• Though I am usually very "colleagial" as these things go, I decided I am not going to a department sponsored event this afternoon. Sending out manuscripts is more of a priority. Sorry.
• I am still waiting for something remarkable to happen. I am not good at waiting.
