I told myself that I'd get a lot done this week, the post-period, pre-progesterone week. I have a deadline to meet by next week (that article revision). I have a stack of papers to grade (if I do 6/day, I can get them back to students in a 2-week window).
But I find myself sitting here, with a stack of books on the desk and open windows on my computer screen, full of stuff to *read* (for the article, but still), and I'm having trouble putting words on paper. Commiting to them.
My ovaries--on Clomid--are all a-tingle.
How do I proceed?
Do I sit here, pecking out some words? Do I go to the library and fetch more books (for the article, but still)? Do I go get a much-needed haircut? Do I rake my yard?
I'm too scattered to sit here. I'll be back later.
Updated to add: Well, I went to the library, only to learn it was closed (Veterans' Day). So I picked up LG's prescription, got my hair cut, raked the yard. Made a phone call related to the Baby Plan. Graded papers at a cafe in the afternoon. LG is now down for the night (7:15 pm); I'll grade some more, watch House, make lunches, return a phone call, take my nightly dose of Clomid, and get to bed. Not the most productive of days, but I am making headway on the paper grading extravaganza.
I'm ready for the semester to be over, aren't you?
