Well, beta was negative.
And I just got into one of those ridiculous conversations with the nurse I don't like, when I try to explain why I don't think what she's suggesting is a good idea and say I won't comply until I talk to Dr. Gorgeous herself. In this case, that would be starting the NuvaRing *now* for an IVF cycle in October. Now, I get the whole issue of timing, and I get that my cycle needs to be "controlled" to coincide with the target retrieval date, and I get that I need *some* kind of suppression. But I also know that there are other choices here besides the pill/ring. Like luteal Estrace, which I have done before. And as someone who just went through a completely botched cycle because of oversuppression--but did Dr. G say you were oversuppressed? she asked--I want the absolute minimum exposure to the pill/Ganirelix/lupron or anything else. Okay, rant over.
In the meantime, I await a call from Dr. G early next week, and have been instructed to let them know if I start bleeding (which shouldn't happen until Monday, if my body is true to form).
I'll probably be quiet here for a while, at least about the ttc stuff. Trying to focus on those other parts of life: professing and mothering, with school gearing up to start in 2 weeks for me, 3 for LG. I bought her first backpack, and I have to say it's almost as good as the onesie I bought for the baby I'm not having in April. Until next time...
Oh sweets... I am so sorry. :( I was really hoping for a different result; I know you were too. It just breaks my heart everytime there is the hope and then the BFN. It's just not fair... I know life isnt fair, but still...
ReplyDeleteThat onesie will get used. I swear it will. I hope that Dr G calls soon and you get things squared away.
I am so very sorry. Glad you're waiting to talk to Dr. G before you do anything, I always hate officious nurses who try to argue with me. Hell, I hate doctors who argue with me, so that's no surprise. Come back when you're ready, we'll be here.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry. What a roller coaster this all is. Know that many folks are out here on the Internets sending positive thoughts your way.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry.
