Small Good Things

  1. The roughly 50% chance that this manuscript will be accepted, knowing that right now the publisher has whittled the list down to about twice the number of manuscripts usually published in a given year. Those aren't bad odds, even for a glass half-empty kind of gal.
  2. Chai latte. What's a little milk when you already have a Ganirelix headache?
  3. The new Margaret Atwood book, which I have the luxury of reading because one of my classes is watching a film next week.
  4. Free fertility drugs. My insurance coverage for fertility treatment is generally crap, but drug coverage is not bad. And I maxed out my out-of-pocket drug expenses for the year after IVF Take 1. If I'm not pregnant after this cycle, I'm refilling everything I can before the first of the year. If I am pregnant, I'll be donating a ton of meds to Dr. Gorgeous's office or my blog friends.
  5. Bright red blood and cramps. Looks like I've got my Ganirelix withdrawal bleed, right on schedule, after two shots. Halle-fucking-lujah.

  1. That is so awesome about the manuscript! If you don't mind me asking, what's it about?
