To Whom It May Concern

Dear Nurse Who Needs a Nickname: when you ask a patient about her insurance coverage and she tells you that you need to call the Specialty Pharmacy from Hell, you call them. Promptly. You don't forget to call and leave your colleague to handle the mess the next morning.

Dear Specialty Pharmacy from Hell: when you send a patient a confirmation email about the prescription received from her doctor's office, that usually means that you have actually received the prescription. You shouldn't need to keep the patient on hold for fifteen minutes while you look for a fax that never existed because the prescription was phoned in. It might also help if your customer service representatives actually talked to each other, so two of them aren't calling the same doctor's office repeatedly.

Dear Nurse Who is Somewhat on the Ball: thanks for giving me two syringes full of Ganirelix, even if I needed to take 2 hours I didn't have to come fetch them and phone the Pharmacy from Hell.

I have a headache. Sheesh.

  1. I am amazed that you are cycling BEFORE Thanksgiving! Wow. That's exciting!

Sounds like a "too many cooks in the kitchen" case.

Oh, and thanks for your advice. :)
