- It's still snowing. Although I shoveled the driveway yesterday morning, I did not have it in me to do so last night. Guess what's on the agenda for later this morning, after I do some writing? Sigh.
- Conference diet has caught up with me. Seems like my entire digestive system has shut down, and now I look like I did when I was about 12 weeks pregnant (which is to say, I've broken out the cargo pants I wore during IVF-bloat).
- I did, however, manage to get decent sleep last night, and that makes all the difference.
- I figured out yesterday that LG actually gets dressed faster if I let her watch TV in the morning. We'll see how long this lasts, but for now, not having to physically drag her out of bed is a good thing.
- The two new committees don't seem to require as much work as I thought going in. Both will be heavy on the prep (lots to READ) but apparently light on the meeting time. Sounds fine to me.
- The house is still a wreck (loads of laundry to put away, my suitcase to unpack, LG's stuff everywhere) but it's another Tuesday without an appointment of any kind, so there should be time to deal with it later.
- I think I have one more day of coffee beans left. Then it's back to the decaf green/herbal teas.
- Still no sign of the bleeding. Later today, please?

Random Bullets (Catching Up Edition)

I noticed the same thing with H. Our mornings go quicker and more smoothly if I let him watch PBSkids while I'm running around frantically trying to get the 3 of us prepared for the day!
ReplyDeleteI used to use TV that way in the morning...she'd watch while I ran around, packing lunches and such. With yesterday's snowday, I realized she was ready to go earlier than she was on a normal school day; though she woke up and got out of bed at the same time, she skipped the dawdling in the bathroom and while getting dressed. So for now it seems TV is enough of incentive to get her going, provided she has all her stuff packed and ready the night before. I wonder how long this trick will last?
ReplyDeleteHow old are your kids?
