Small Good Things (7w0d)

  1. I've made it to 7 weeks.  And given that my particular brand of RPL occurs pre-heartbeat, really there's no logical reason to assume a negative outcome here.  (Trying very hard not to think about the wonky betas, the sac measuring small, the relative lack of nausea compared to what it was with LG, etc, etc, etc.)  If this has been emotionally tumultuous, physically this has been very easy compared to all pregnancies that came before, even those that ended earlier; I'm not sure what to make of that.
  2. I am loving the belly.  I am loving the belly.  I love touching the belly.  I love looking at the belly.  I love thinking about what to wear so it doesn't bother the belly.  (I am especially loving that the lovenox bruising is quite minimal, compared to the heparin belly of 2003.)
  3. Today the cats and I hung out on the hopefully-soon-to-be-renamed Porch of No Baby.  I read.  They yapped at birds.  It is 80 degrees here.  Five days ago it was snowing (yes, I am serious).
  4. LG rode her scooter to campus this afternoon (granted, she walked the scooter for about half of it, but as long as I didn't need to carry it I didn't care).  We bought a lemonade, hung out in the student union, and then scooted our way back home.  That was about 1.5 miles more walking than I had in me; I am wiped out.
  5. Ice cream.  I am not getting headaches at present (how am I not getting headaches on 8 mg estrogen/day?!), so I see no reason not to eat dairy, particularly in its most delectable form.  I mean, I need the caclium and all.

  1. These all sound rather like GREAT BIG HUGE good things to me. Especially the 7 weeks milestone. (And, um, the ice cream.)
