So here we are again. Tiny Boy seems to have the same issues as LG, though we haven't gotten so far as mucousy-bloody stools. And maybe it's because I've done this before, or maybe he really is a baby with an easier temperament, or some combination thereof, but we're doing okay. He cries, to be sure, but the completely inconsolable crying that drove me bat-shit crazy with LG is rare. Tends to happen around 8:00-10:00 at night (at whatever time I'm ready to put us both to bed). 4:00-6:00 am has also been tricky lately, as that seems to be when a night of sleeping on his back results in milk-out-the-nose and a really congested baby trying to nurse nonstop, because he's a baby and doesn't know that that really won't help the situation.
But oh my goodness has he morphed into a smiley, alert baby. And it's those moments that make the rest of it more than okay.

p.s. I think I enrolled Tiny Boy in daycare for next fall. Which is an astonishing step for me. Obviously I wasn't one of those women who got her baby on a waiting list the minute she found out she was pregnant. There's one more possibility I need to look into, but in all likelihood this is where he'll end up. LG was there from 18 mo through aftercare for kindergarten, and it seems they will take him the day he turns 10 mo. Now I just need to work something out for life in the next few months...
My baby boy cries alot from 5-7pm.. what works one night (e.g., swinging) will not work the next night to get him to sleep. This stage will be over, hopefully, by the time they are close to 3 months.
