The Baby Whisperer

I'm sure I've mentioned my chinese medicine practicing/teahouse owning neighbors.  Anyway, yesterday LG, and Tiny Boy and I went across the street for tea.  Tiny Boy was at first delighted with all the sights to take in; then he nursed and, reflux baby that he is, started fussing.  My neighbor rubbed a spot on the arch of his right foot and he stopped.  I have successfully replicated this, but only when combined with holding him facing out.  Apparently it's a reflexology point that deals with digestive issues.  Amen.

Also, for the past two nights, I have stuck Tiny Boy in a "swaddle pod," which he is finally large enough for, and he has gone four whole hours without waking to feed.  Last night I got him back in the pod for another two or so after that, but then we had that whole milk-out-the-nose problem and I spent another 1.5 hours trying to get him back to sleep.  Still, I'll take what I can get.

It really is Baby World around here.  And Baby World is so much better than The Land of Infertility and RPL.  I dread the day that this wonderful vacation is over, you know?

  1. Wow, I want that spot. Goldie often fusses after nursing and lately it's been inconsolable screaming about eating. Maybe it's time for a trip to the relexolgist.

I'm going to show how behind I am on reading by commenting on things you said in posts weeks ago, but here goes:
    1. I love my Gilmore Girls DVDs!
    2. Have you tried coconut milk creamer in your coffee? (http://www.turtlemountain.com/products/product.php?p=so_delicious_creamer_original). I love it (better than soy).
    3. I'd be interested to hear what carriers you ended up with (in addition to your faux-by.
