Have I mentioned that Tiny Boy has days he's awake and days he sleeps? Granted, most of the sleeping takes place ON me, but it's a very different sort of day than when he's awake and fussing (or awake and smiling).
Today appears to be a sleeping day. And he's even been willing to spend an hour at a time in the swing (then he wakes, burps, and nurses just a bit before falling back to sleep).
By 9:00 this morning, I'd seen LG off to school, eaten, showered, put dinner in the crockpot and a load of laundry in the wash. Then Tiny Boy and I set off to the post office and to pick up my laptop from the repair place (which should make LG very happy, as I've been co-opting her computer [a hand-me-down from her uncle], with the result of teaching her about the wonders of Hulu). Had lunch by 11:00, folded the laundry, re-organized all the toys and art supplies in the living room. Which brings me to about now.
The book I'm reading is upstairs, and I'm afraid if I move--Tiny Boy is asleep on my lap--that will be the end of the quiet for the day. Perhaps that's what the TV is for.
I am so not ready to contemplate being back at work. Sigh.
sounds like a wonderful baby day! I am already nostalgic...
ReplyDeleteMy baby (we had a girl! Addie (Adelaide) was 14 days late via c-section for FTP) also has days of sleep and days of awake. She feeds back to back during awake days.. It's a bit exhausting! This breastfeeding on demand isn't for the light hearted ;)
