The Babysitter

So Tiny Boy's first babysitter--or my mother's helper--is coming tomorrow for the first time.  She'll be here for four hours.  I'll need to spend some time giving her the lay of the land, so to speak.  And no doubt nursing Tiny Boy (I am so not pumping tomorrow morning).  My own plans are to (a) purge some files in my filing cabinets (if I'm not mistaken, I have insurance records from when I had LG, among other things) so I can (b) get rid of the pile on the corner of my desk of things to file and then pay bills and deal with paperwork and, hopefully, spend an hour on actual work-related things.

But assuming Tiny Boy naps, and he really had better nap, I need to figure out what I want her to do.  I'm sort of inclined to come up with a list of all the chores that are supposed to be done on a daily/weekly basis and just let her pick what she wants to do.  I mean, if there's something obvious like doing the dishes, that would be great, but mostly everything needs upkeep.  And while I would never ever ask her to do something like clean toilets or empty cat litter...if that's the kind of thing she wants to do, well, why would I stop her?

One logistical problem is that the rocking chair is in my home office, which is just off my bedroom, which is where Tiny Boy generally sleeps.  This will be interesting, to say the least.
