I am not sure how much sleep Tiny Boy got last night, but I think I got maybe 2 hrs. He woke me--which is weird to say because I wasn't really sleeping--quite literally, every 30-40 minutes all night, after midnight. He might have been in a light sleep, or he wasn't sleeping, I'm not sure, but he was thrashing around and certainly not in a deep comfortable sleep. Not crying, either, other than around 4:00 am when I dumped him in the crib to see if maybe I was keeping him awake. Apparently not.
He also had a lot of trouble falling asleep last night--required a lot of intervention. And today he's not really napping. It's clear that he's exhausted and overtired but he can't manage to fall into a deep sleep. After 20-40 minutes, he's awake.
He's also not pooping. Not yesterday, not today. And while I understand this can be normal for breastfed babies, he's generally a 2-3 times per day pooper (of the very loose is-it-diarrhea kind).
I suspect these two occurrences are related. But he's clearly not in pain or massive discomfort as he's happy. Just not sleeping.
Right now he's with his babysitter--who got him down for 20 minutes and then I got another 40 minutes out of him (by holding him the entire time)--and as soon as she leaves I will be trying to nap him again.
This sucks.
The babysitter? Pretty cool. Other than the whole sleep thing, which really isn't her fault.
