Forgive me this usual subject, feeling raw. Bad night. And again.
This is cheaper than seeing my therapist.

Tiny Boy napped at daycare yesterday; he needed it. But I got home late (campus event) and then he was riled and wouldn't go to sleep until 9:30. And you know what they say about kid sleep.
So color me less than surprised when he woke at something like 1:00 and 2:00 and 3:00 and 5:00, when he decided he needed to be in my bed, and that's around when the Lunesta wears off. If I'm asleep, I sleep, but if I'm woken, I'm done.
When he asked me for milk at 6:30 I just started crying. And the cats take any noise in the morning as indication that he (it's only IVF Kitten really) can start yowling as well.
So I hauled myself out of bed and fed them.
Took Tiny Boy to school 7:15. He was crying. Confused, because he was out the door before LG.
I was hoping I'd come home and she'd take care of herself and I'd go back to bed.
But she's 11. So she decided a banana was breakfast and then it would be a good time to play the piano.
I just have to get through today. Which unfortunately involves me staying on campus again late (I'm doing a thing) but that will involve adrenaline so I'll get through it.
And tomorrow is sort of spring break. And my mother is coming to visit. And I think I'm going to check myself into a hotel.

Tiny Boy's ped finally did agree to a referral. So now I just need to get on the schedule. On the list.

I didn't sleep more than 3 (fragmented) hours last night, also. Only part of it was kid-related. G-D insomnia, I thought I had quit you and there you are showing up randomly on the night before a 5:30 AM wake-up and a snow day where I'm trying to "work at home" with the kids around and not kill them, to boot. Sorry, I needed to vent. I feel your pain.
ReplyDeleteAna, yup. It's the combo that does me in every time. But at least I could pawn my child off on someone else today. Best wishes on the snowday; sounds like a day I'd be making judicious use of screen time.
ReplyDeleteUgh, that's rough. I'm sorry. Glad to hear your mother is coming to visit soon!
ReplyDeleteOH. You do need a hotel. And a hot bath. And a cup of tea. And an uninterrupted night's sleep.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds miserable. I hope tonight gives you better sleep.
ReplyDeleteSomehow my mother misunderstood and thought I wanted HER to sleep in a hotel. Argh. We'll see...
