Small Good Things

  1. The children's department at our public library. It's a good place to take LG for an hour, so she can pick out some books, do some coloring, and possibily use the computer, mostly without talking. Because while I adore LG, her constant chatter (and if it's not chatter it's singing) drives me batty.
  2. Ditto the place she has dubbed The Big Park (not to be confused with, you guessed it, The Little Park). Even better when we are joined by friends.
  3. We live in a town with not one but three (or more) health food stores. Unfortunately, not one of them is Whole Foods, which completely rocks my world. But it's still great to have options, particularly when they have 15% off coupons, given that we go through several gallons of rice milk per week. I also stocked up on tea and overpriced juice (you know, because I need all the anti-oxidants I can drink these days).
  4. Only one more day on the pill! I can't say enough good things about that.
  5. Sleeping kid. Sleeping kid. Sleeping kid.

  1. I love health food stores. We do have a Whole Foods about 20m away from home (and one a stones throw from the hospital, which is a lifesaver) But we also have some really good independent markets too. It's great.
