Before Bed

I have taken my usual Sunday night ambien and hope to be asleep about 5 minutes after writing this.

In brief:  Tiny Boy survived ear tube surgery and the vomiting was short-lived.  He slept a record 3-hr nap afterward, though given that he was awake for about three hours in the middle of the night, well, I'd say he broke even sleepwise.  But he did take 2 hr naps both Sat and Sun (yay Grandma!).

Middle of the night?  Holy fuck.  I was awake from 1 until almost 7 this morning, even with asking my mother to DEAL WITH HIM around 4 a.m.  I have learned (1) he's willing to put his head down and go to sleep for her but not for me and (2) he really is HUNGRY by that point in the morning, as as soon as he scarved down the bottle (on top of the boobs) he pointed to the crib and she dumped him back in with no drama.

Not sure what to do about that.  Just hoping tonight is better.

  1. Oi! I hope you are sleeping the sleep of the dead (or at least the Am.biened) RIGHT NOW and for several hours hereafter!

  2. Finn has been waking up in the middle of the night lately asking for food and it's driving me crazy. I just can't even imagine nights with TB. Can't imagine.

  3. Ugh! This has gone on entirely too long! So sorry you're dealing with this, and hope that it eases up soon. It has to, right?
