Fellow travelers on my ttc journey will recall that last cycle on cd 6, I had a dominant follicle at 22 mm and ended up cancelling the cycle. Dr. Gorgeous put me on Estrace, thinking that it would suppress my natural FSH surge at the beginning of the cycle and allow more time for follicular recruitment, so the Femara could actually do its job. Looks like she was right.
At my ultrasound this morning (cd 6), there was pretty much *nothing* to see. The largest follicle was only at 6-7 mm. This is despite the fact that I've felt all sorts of stretching, popping, and general ovarian activity that usually indicates a mature follicle. On a typical cycle, I have follicles significantly larger than this on cd 3. Is this too good to be true?
Not sure when I'm going back for additional monitoring; the sonogram tech thought maybe 3-4 days.
Updated to add: Well, I'm going back on Saturday (cd 10). Hoping for an IUI on Mon or Tues. Both times I've been pregnant I conceived on cd 12 or 13, so here's hoping...
