Things to Do (Lost Wallet Edition)

What I did not do today was work on my article, or write a cover letter for my book manuscript, read anything, or do yoga in my dining room. What I did do was
  1. search my house for a wallet that mysteriously disappeared out of my summer bag, sometime between Tuesday afternoon and this morning
  2. call LG's school to ask her if she has seen and/or used the wallet
  3. call the last three locations where the wallet might have been dropped
  4. call two credit card companies to cancel my cards and have them reissued
  5. call the bank to have my debit card reissued
  6. go to the bank to try to get cash
  7. return to the bank with my passport to get cash
  8. spend an hour at the secretary of state's branch office to get a new driver's license
  9. use the cash to pay for a new license, put gas in the car, buy a much-needed decaf drink from Starbucks, and buy new wallet
  10. call the flex spending company to have my debit card reissued
  11. call the pharmacy to check on the status of IVF drugs and find out how much cash I will need to get in order to pay for them, as I am currently credit-card-less
  12. call the nurse at Dr. Gorgeous's office to tell her that, no, she can't order the one remaining drug from whatever pharmacy she feels like
  13. schedule my first blood work, ultrasound, financial consult, and mock embryo transfer for the All-Day-Tuesday-Extravaganza at Dr. Gorgeous's office

I think I'm taking a break from the phone calls and picking up LG a bit early. You think I might be a bit stressed?

  1. The worst part will be if you find the wallet!

Deep breath, dear. Try to let the stress float away.
