So I started spotting on Thursday. I started bleeding more heavily by Saturday evening, enough that I'd call it "day 1"--bright red, with clots, cramping, etc. Then it basically stopped. And then it started again. Today at my monitoring appointment, my lining was insanely thick (I don't remember the exact measurement, but it was well over 2 cm). What the fuck?
As the sonogram tech said, it should be interesting when my blood work comes back.
I'm thinking ectopic pregnancy. Anyone else want to play?
Update: The only piece of useful information I've garnered is my estrogen level is over 400. I'm going back in on Wednesday. I think.
My vote is for a wonky period. I had some weird ones in between cycles. I think if it was ectopic, you would have seen something on the HPT, don't you? With pregnancy #2, First Response detected my level 2 days before a beta of 20 so those suckers can detect tiny amounts. Just a weirdo period! I hope!

ReplyDeleteCould it be a chemical pregnancy? I had one of those, I had really bad cramps and clotting, but i never took a hpt because I wasn't 'trying' back then (recently divorced, 1 night stand, you know how it goes) and I wasn't late. I went in to family planning because I was in so much pain, not like my usual periods (no insurance either!) and that's what they told me was going on. I hope your next ttc cycle is less confusing and more successful!
