- A good night's sleep. LG was out for 13 hours. It took me a while to fall asleep (well, until I took one of the painkillers left over from the retrieval to counteract the decongestant!) but then I slept like the proverbial dead.
- A nice breakfast with LG this morning. We went out, which we rarely do, and she scarfed down eggs, bacon, and two pieces of toast (with 3 kinds of jelly). I drank actual coffee. Now I'm back on the no-wheat, no-soy, no-dairy, no-caffeine, no-alcohol diet.
- Raking leaves with my girl.
- Putting the IVF drug box away (well, except for all the Follistim supplies). No more Menopur! No more PIO! No more microdose lupron! Ever again! (How warped is it that with my scaled down "next to natural" approach, I'm still on prescription level folic acid, heparin, baby aspirin, Follistim, Ovidrel, Prometrium, Estrace, and possibly Ganirelix?)
- LG is in her bedroom. Not whining. Not crying. Not arguing. Just resting. It's been a long six days since they kicked her out of school.
- Completely unsolicited, LG wrote me the following note this afternoon: "DER MOM I AM SREY I YALD AT YOW."
- A long night to myself (thanks, LG!), during which I will take a shower and shave my legs (it's life back in the stirrups in 13 hours), make both of our lunches, set up the coffee maker for the morning (decaf, people!), comment on ~20 pieces of student writing, read another 50 pages in the novel I'm teaching this week, straighten up around the house, and hopefully crash by 10:00. Mmmm... toast with three kinds of jellies! :)
ReplyDeleteI do enjoy putting the IVF meds away, however bittersweet it may be.
Sending you peaceful vibes.
