So today didn't start off so great, what with the negative and all. But I came up with my plan, I sent off a manuscript, I wrote my daily minimum requirement (sort of like taking vitamin C). I raked leaves and ate some lunch and headed to campus to write an exam. Things looking better.
I managed to do the exam and make several photocopies in about an hour and a half, at which point I decided to buy some tea from Starbucks and grade for a while. I hadn't even taken one sip when my phone rang. The caller came up "unavailable," but something told me to answer. Yes, that would be LG's teacher, calling to tell me she had a fever of 102 and needed to be picked up. I called the acupuncturist to cancel and picked up my girl, who did have a fever but it turned out to be a mere 99.6. Whatever.
She's home tomorrow. I'm scrambling to figure out what to do with my classes. And whatever illness she gets--it's looking like H1N1--usually hits me 12-24 hrs later. Indeed: my eyes feel funny, my throat hurts, and I've got a headache (not to be confused with my friend The Headache). Oh yeah, tomorrow is going to be great fun.
Oh no! I'm so sorry to hear that!
ReplyDeleteHave you considered getting some Tamiflu a.s.a.p.? And maybe taking some preventative Tylenol yourself to avoid fever?
Hang in there. I hope whatever LG has skips you!
Yuck for little LG... I am so sorry. Can you take the vaccine as a preventative?
