- LG is at her old preschool for the day. She will play, she will be stimulated by adults who care for her, she will be away from her sick mother and the television. That is well worth $46.
- LG's illness, whatever it ultimately was, seems to be short lived. (I'm terrified that she'll pick up something new at preschool today, but my short term need to have her out of the house won out.)
- Grading midterms in bed, with the cat, while it rains outside.
Well, I think that's all. Pretty pathetic.
OMG! I need to put you in my reader. I have missed SOOO much. I'm sorry. I wish I were there to comment.
ReplyDeleteFirst, I'm really so deeply sorry this try didn't work out. Ugh! I was hoping this was it for you!
Why do you say that LH is not your friend? I had low dose hcg during all of my cycles. They even upped the dose. Is it an egg quality concern?
Last October I stopped PIO with my chemical pregnancy and it took about 7 days to start bleeding.
I'm sick too. Scratchy throat, runny nose, feeling run down. Dammit. I have 20 students and had about 5 out every day. Not good. Thinking of wearing a mask and gloves to school.
PJ, the LH thing is just a hunch, based on reading around and my medical history. First, I know I've had LH surges when I haven't had mature follicles (that's happened at least twice). Second, many "poor responders" don't do well on microdose lupron and protocols that include menopur due to high LH (that would certainly seem to be true of my first IVF; the second, when I cut my dose of both MDL and menopur by half, I responded much better)--it can cause both poor egg quality and poor response. Third, the "stuck" eggs I had in my IVF can be caused by excess exposure to LH. It's all speculative...but I think it's worth going straight Follistim/Gonal-F just to see how I do.
ReplyDeleteLooks like PIO does nothing in terms of delaying my cycle. I'm still on it and anticipating "full flow" by the morning!
Feel better!
(My own word verification was "ovionic"--is that like ovarian/ironic)
